Our pristine tea makes a special journey from our evergreen tea gardens till it reaches you to enrich your daily cuppa tea.
It all starts with the evergreen plant, the Camellia Sinesis. The tea is first handpicked by a team of over 500 skilled pluckers to pick the finest leaves, the Orange Pekoe.
The iconic two leaves and one bud. These leaves undergo two distinct processing techniques to make CTC and Orthodox tea, which ultimately unravel their unique flavours in your cup.
The leaves go through a process of being Crushed, Torn and Curled or CTC, where the leaves are put in a cylinder with sharp ‘teeth’ and spun at high speeds. This results in the familiar granular form leaves that makes for the base ingredient of the staple Indian beverage, ‘Chai’.
For orthodox tea, the leaves undergo a relatively gentle process where the leaves are rolled tight on a rolling table to keep in all the delicate flavours of the tea.
The teas are blended to perfection, lending AM’cha it’s beautiful malty liquor and beloved flavour.
